Pets instinctively hide any symptoms of illness or injury, which makes discerning an emergency more complex. If you notice any of the symptoms listed below, please contact our animal hospital right away:
- Disinterested in eating or drinking
- Trouble breathing
- Chronic vomiting or diarrhea
- Exhibiting symptoms of severe pain (shaking or flinching/crying when touched)
- Severe bleeding
- Acting lethargic or disoriented
- Loss of consciousness
- Presence of blood in stool or vomit
- Straining or inability to pass stool or urine
- Limping or having difficulty walking
- Undergoing a traumatic event (hit by a car, attacked by another animal, etc.)
