Risk Reduction
We provide a high standard of care, as we know surgery comes with some risk. All patients receive a tailored anesthetic protocol, IV catheter and IV fluid therapy. Each patient is closely monitored by a technician and blood pressure readings, oxygen saturation levels and vitals are recorded throughout the procedure. All patients over the age of 6 years or undergoing a non-routine procedure are required to have a complete blood count and chemistry performed to ensure they can safely undergo anesthesia.
One of our receptionists will call you the day prior to surgery with instructions for the day of surgery. You will receive a call from the doctor once the procedure is finished with detailed post-op instructions. When your pet is picked up from surgery, a technician will review the post-op care instructions and medications that will be written in detail for you to take with you. We are always here to answer any additional questions or concerns that arise at any time.
