How to Know If Your Pet Needs Urgent Care
Urgent care deals with minor injuries or illnesses when your primary veterinarian is not available, but prompt care is necessary. Below are examples of symptoms or injuries that may indicate your pet requires urgent care:
- Vomiting and diarrhea
- Open wounds
- Sprains or strains
- Coughing
- Allergies
- Sneezing
- Concussions
- Dog bites
- Ear infections

Urgent Care Guidelines
- A deposit is required for the exam. We accept cash and card only.
- Please have your method of payment ready.
- All appointments are curbside only; clients are not permitted inside the hospital.
- A veterinary technician will bring your pet into the hospital.
- You may return outside or wait in your vehicle.
- The doctor will call you with the results of the physical exam and discuss the treatment plan.
- If you would like an estimate in advance, please let the doctor know.
- Patients are triaged based on urgency, and more critical patients will be seen first.
- Due to appointments being based on a first-come, first-served and urgency basis wait times could range from 2–3 hours.
- Please be patient – our staff is limited, and there is only one doctor on duty.
